Tanzania - WCF Contribution Rate Decrease
Following the proposals made in the Budget speech, the Workers Compensation (Payment of Tariff)(Amendment) Regulations, 2022 has amended the contribution rate for employers, effective as from 1 July 2022.
The Principal Regulations are amended in regulation 5(2) by deleting the words “zero point six per centum (0.6%)” and substituting for them the words “zero point five per centum 0.5%)”.
Previously, employers in the private sector contributed 0.6% while employers in the public sector contributed 0.5%.

Paymaster Impact
- The WCP-1 Workmens Compensation Report heading will print accordingly.
- It is the customer’s responsibility to change the contribution percentage on company level if in the private sector.
- Access Config > Payroll > Payroll Components and edit the WCF company contribution component.
- Change the 0.6% to 0.5%.
- No other statutory changes have been announced.
